Buck-passing/changing stories.

Post by weemadando »

Now these are two of the great political attributes and it amuses me to see how much attention Bush et al have been garnering for their efforts, but for the best in the business look no further than John "I was not informed" Howard.

Now, either he has the most goddamn secretive subordinates who somehow always fail to tell him the important stuff, or he's just brilliant at passing the buck.

I mean when the Navy (backed by the military chiefs of staff) come out and say: "We told you.", when members of the intelligence services come out and say: "We told you." and when members of his own fucking party say: "He was told." Then there has to be something FUCKED UP, when he proceeds to say: "I was never told."

Is his personal assistant plotting a coup or something?

How about Iraq - he follows the Bush line faithfully, but the moment there are no WMDs, he doesn't change tacts, he goes with old faithful: "I wasn't aware of that fact."

Hell, the man is the political worlds Rodney Dangerfield: "I tell ya, I get no reports, no intelligence, no briefings... Fucking nothing!" He seems to exist in a void of information, but that has never stopped him from making decisions.

On a secondary note, I have to say that my choices of candidates to vote for on my local ballot paper was FUCKING TERRIBLE. That is all.
