Conrad Russell, Historian, has died

Professor Russell was a major figure in historical and political circles, teaching at both UK and US universities. He was active in both politics and academia, earning many friends and a strong written contribution to his subject. He was also a mentor and friend of our youth politicalgroup when I was chair.
