Arafat and terrorism

Post by Sarevok »

I am curiouss about why Arafat is considered a terrorist by many. In the newspapers I havent read about Arafat calling for terror attacks against Israel.

Maybe he says one thing and does the another ?
I have to tell you something everything I wrote above is a lie.

Arafat used to be a terrorist big-wig before he was elevated even further to head the Palestinian Authority. It's quite easy to understand why someone would call him a terrorist (since he used to be one), even if he currently does not appear to organize terrorist operations the way he once did.

Well, a lot of it simply stems from the fact that he used to be head of the the PLO. I he was certainly a terrorist then.

As for now, there have been a lot of well timed outbreaks of terrorism and he's had way to much luck for a lot of people to ignore. Add in the fact that he's still connected in a friend of a friend sort of way and you can see why he's not trusted much.
