Easy. He was overweight when he got married, but not as grossly. She loved him and stuck around when he begin to get out of control. It sounds like he has some emotional issues that are affecting his ability to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

There've been a number of people who've weighed this much or more, men and women. In every case they were unable to get up and feed themselves so someone else had to do it for them.

That guy, I don't recall - there is, however, a third guy that's in a similar situation. The Don & Mike Show did a few segments on him, as well as giving him a motivational challenge of ten bucks per pound he lost. Don't know what happened to himm, though.

Wierd thing is, from all I remember hearing, the guy was pretty healthy before he let himself go, being a major dancer of some sort, so it's not as if he had any serious problems that escalated.

I suspect some sort of genetic defect, if not several of them, probably ones which affect the metabolism and digestion.
