Yeah, if you have a weapon equipped, your hand-to-hand attacks do more damage. It makes the Ninja fight hilariously simple; equip the Chaff Grenades, and use them to bitch-slap him or toss 'em at your convenience.

Fuck this. How do you lower your gun without shooting it? In MGS2 the button is pressure-sensitive, so you just let it off easier and it doesn't fire.

How do you drop your aim without shooting stuff and wasting ammo.

You lower the gun by holding down A and sliding your finger onto Y. When A and Y are pressed, release A.

To aim the FAMAS without firing hold Y before pressing A.

Y is the "use/gun safety" button.
