Far Cry DVD Lameness

Post by Stark »

My relief that Far Cry came on DVD (unlike evil evil UT2k4, and yes, I'm in AU :P) was quickly quashed, because the goddamn thing doesn't work on LG DVD players. Both of mine are LG, the burner down the road is LG, all the players at work are LG.. GAH!

[Nelson]Ha ha![/Nelson]

In all seriousness, a DVD drive isn't all that expensive, just buy one that does work with Far Cry. Unless, of course, you either can't afford it or can't be arsed to buy a new one, in which case I'd be happy to take that copy of Far Cry off your hands. :D
どうして?お前が夜に自身お触れるから。
Long ago in a distant land, I, Aku, the shape-shifting Master of Darkness, unleashed an unspeakable evil,
but a foolish samurai warrior wielding a magic sword stepped forth to oppose me. Before the final blow
was struck, I tore open a portal in time and flung him into the future, where my evil is law! Now, the fool
seeks to return to the past, and undo the future that is Aku...

I have an LG GSA-4040B DVD-burner in my computer, and no problems with Far Cry.

I did have a few problems with it, but everything vanished after a firmware upgrade.
Ladies and gentlemen, I can envision the day when the brains of brilliant men can be kept alive in the bodies of dumb people.

Cheers! I'd not bothered to look for firmware (I thought the disks were buggered at first). But I bought it from EB, so I got the CD-ROM version instead. 8 shots from an M16 to kill someone INDEED! :)
