computer problams

Post by Greylock »

I am having a extreme problem with my computer and I am hoping one of the experienced or computer smart people among these forums can help me out.

I reseontally purchased a game called beyond divinity and installed it on my harddrive in the well wish to play this game after buying it, but after instauling it for the first time it of cource asked me to reboot as is standerd with most software so it can compleate its registrys and such like that . I don?t know exactally what programs like this all do in the reboot but I am shure you people would understand this much better then myself. Anyways this is where my problam arises.

Form here on it will not let me back into windows under normal mode , it keeps on no matter what sending me into safe mode. I have uninstaulled this piece of software , and the problem still persists (I had this happen once before and that?s what cured this problem) I have also attempted the second solution I know of when things really get screwed up like this by using the program that restores my computer to a previous date, but all the system check points for the last two months don?t seem to be working , I haven?t gone further back but I suspect they wont work as well.

I have also used every diagnostic tool that has come with my Norton system utilities , but it hasn?t found any problems either, dose anyone here have any ideas what I could do to get my computer to go back into normal mode. And to well stay there =o)

I have also tried contacting the technical support of the company that produced and made this program and basically I got and I quote ?I have found no solution or answer to your problems yet, but I have forwarded your e-mail to our programmers. Just so you know we're looking into it...?

What OS are you using?

When your computer starts up, and it says 'Starting Windows', hit the F8 key. You should get a menu asking what you want to boot into. Tell it to boot normally. What happens?

Ok, did you uninstall it via "Add/Remove Programs", only delete the icon, or just delete the folder? Tell us what you did step by step. Don't leave anything out. Even something you might consider insignifigant may be a clue to what's wrong.
