Need Halo help!!!

I finally bought Halo and installed the game and patched it. But unfortunately it freezes up. My character wakes up, and after the initial diagnostic check I am to do some targeting check. But just as I am done, the game freezes. I reboot and went back into the game and now I pass the targeting check. But on the way to the energy shield check the game freezes again!

How do I fix it?

You could try playing Heroic or Legendary (that'll skip the tutorial at the beginning) and see if that helps or if it keeps on freezing re-install.
