I finally got my laptop! Hurrah!

Post by HemlockGrey »

Yes! Finally, after months and months of saving money and bugging people on this forum (most notably phong), my Inspiron 600m laptop has finally arrived. And it's nice and shiny, too.

No more relying on my PII 350! I can finally crank up the graphics on Medieval: Total War! I can finally play WarCraft III, and Tribes2! I can burn DVDs! And I can watch DVD- well, actually, I popped in a Firefly DVD and tried to watch it but it stuttered like hell and the sound was somewhat crappy (no speakers as of yet) but I don't care! lalala!

Of course, no internet yet, as I'm moving shortly and setting up a wireless network would be pointless when I'm only going to be in the house for the next week and a half. Still, once I get to Japan, I'm going wireless! Yay!

This has been a glimpse into the life of HemlockGrey. Have a very nice day.

The 600m can run Warcraft III? :wtf:

Anyway, good job. Be sure to uninstall the various software that Dell slaps on but you don't use. Dell has a knack of doing this, which is why I like IBM when it comes to that (no useless software).
