HW2 problems

I've had the game for a long time, and it refused to ever work, under a varaiety of OS's and configurations, simply put, i install perfectly, I patch perfectly, I load perfectly, I run the opening SP movie perfectly... and it hangs, totaly, with no rescue without a hard reboot.

Help?

Same thing happened to me...Update your video drivers. That's what I did.

Last time I tried, they were 4.6, and I tried everytime a new driver came out, same result, I will try skirmish maybe, but the point of the game for me was the SP, and that is broken.

Drivers when it came out were what? 3.5? thats 10 driver updates that have yet to find a working HW2.

right now i'm at ends meet, if skirmish won't work, I will even try it on my old P3 600 MHZ with a geforce 2, I just want that SP, bad.

Though if its just a machine fault, soon, soon, I will be enjoying it on the most advance hardware of the time I buy
