Does anyone here know how to get Open Office to actually put headers and footers in the actual head and foot areas the way word does without disrupting the actual content of the document?

Yeah, tried that. It decided to shrink the top margin and stick the header within the top. Had to go back to the campus and use word to touch it up.

Damn. You might just have to mess with the margins then.
