having trouble playing video with XP and media player

Post by irishmick79 »

Every time I try to launch any kind of video file, Windows Media Player tells me that an "internal application error has occured" and it crashes. I can't even figure out what the error is, let alone fix it. What can I do?

did you install winxpSP2? it tends to fuck up a number of applications. and did you try simply reinstalling mediaplayer? what version are you using, the latest build i take it?
