ok, I am starting to set up my Aztec based marines. giving them Jaguar spotted patterns and in the tradition of true eagle and Jaguar knights I want to make them a high mobility chapter.
suggestions?
yes, I am planing on using powerswords that look like Aztec war clubs (jagged obsidion look), fluffing it out as some kind of crystal native to their volcanic world, that helps with the powerswords)
any other ideas?
oh and I have even gone so far as playing around with army maker to make an army with jaguar spot colours, and using very small mirrors from Kragen with film tint covering them as standard banners..
also heavy on assult forces, with purhaps some air support/speeder support for the eagle knights....

The scariest folk song lyrics are "My Boy Grew up to be just like me" from cats in the cradle by Harry Chapin
Wait another month or so for the new Marine codex to come out. It will have a trait system very similar to the new Imperial Guard doctrines, but with fewer traits than the IG have. Some of these traits will probably be beneficial to your assault-oriented force and may help dictate what units you want.

Have the "common" soldiers in bright colors. Feathers from tropical birds were popular decorations, along with the jaguar skins and eagle feathers for elite units.
Possibly have rocket launchers of some sort (don't know the 40k universe well) to simulate the atlatls (spear-throwers) used by the Aztec cultures.

Why isn’t that ever an issue of politics? Because you don’t live in a democracy. You live in a plutocracy. Money rules.
