1) Why? Because you say so? "IE is stable, but not more than the others, so use it!"Tech^salvager wrote:1.) Yes its validPraxis wrote:*snip*Tech^salvager wrote:I never said its more stable I said its stable. I've had up to 40 IE's open + Dev-C++, Gmax, 3Dsmax, 2 zircons ( its a irc client ), and MSN running.
2.)I'll believe IE is the worst rendering engine when I go to one of my main sites and its not rendered corectly, unlike firefox which at one point didn't rendered some of my sites correctly.
3.)And DLing security patches is worst? I don't see how thats worse. I see they are making sure that they getting all the bugs out of IE.
What do i have to DL when I'm not on XP?

2) Go to that site which I posted that is coded following the INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS for HTML, and tell me if it works right. The sites you go to have been tweaked to use faulty/broken code so that IE will show it right, which is why FireFox doesn't work right because the code is broken.
3) You said that IE was better because you had to download FireFox (what, 4 MB?), I pointed out that you have to download DOZENS if not hundreds of patches for IE, constantly. DLing hundreds of patches is a lot more effort than downloading one 4 mb installer, so you lose. When you're on Windows 95, 98, or ME you'll have an older version of IE and have to download the latest one (easier to just get FireFox), and if you're on Linux (any version) or FreeBSD you'll have to install Wine AND download IE to get it, and if you're on Mac OS X, you get Safari free so why bother using IE?
4) huh?
