Well, excuse me. What else was I supposed to extrapolate from your words? That, were it set in another country, or some other human outpost, it would have somehow magically have been "better"? You're being moronic, claiming that only because it focused on a few people, it was bad.Chris OFarrell wrote: I did NOT say it had to only be about the MC. I don't care if it has many other characters. THe HALO novels for example had many other characters throughout who never were seen in the game. So please don't try and put words in my mouth.
Now who's exaggerating whom?If you think its that good and are that fanatical about it, I'm frankly not even going to try and debate the point with you.
The same things are not covered in the novels. The characters present in the audio drama are not in the novels at all. Besides passing reference to the MC in the final chapter, there's no mention of any of the mainstream HALO characters from the novels and games. All I'll say is just about everything you mention here is covered in greater depth in the novels "The Fall of Reach" and "First Strike" and in a better presentation to boot.
Since you didn't follow it through, I hardly think you're a good judge of that. Not to mention the events are far less contrived.
SPOILER ALERTTHe Covenent find Reach for example by carefuly attaching a super advanced homing beacon to a Human Ship when it heads through a debris field.
Gee, kind of like how that bit of maligent code was attached to Durga? It wasn't the artifact at all that led the Covenant to Earth, it was her. The artifact would have shown them the way, but they were already en route.
What the fuck are you babbling about? You certainly aren't talking about ILB.The relationship between the Humans, Foreunners and Covenent is subtily sketched in the books, not blasted at you.
I'm sorry you grew up lacking a sarcasm detector. You say I suck because I don't like a grossly simplistic facet that unfortunantly might be canon, thats fine. Don't expect me to loose any sleep over it.
