Computer problems help

Post by Stormbringer »

The first problem I'm having trouble with my wireless card, it disconnects without any reason. It seems to do so entirely randomly.

The second is one of the two USB ports doesn't seem to recognize devices. It knows there's a device it but won't actually work.

And last my CD burner is screwed up and keeps hitting buffer underrun.

Any ideas how to fix all this?

2.)Try reinstalling the drivers.

Giving a stupid link that gives no direct information, nor any information upon a simple search, is Stupid.

To storm:

2) try uninstalling the device in windows, then replugging it while reinstalling it, should help fixing.

3) Lower your burn speeds to 1 level below what the media suggests.

I'll give that a try. But it seems to be doing that for all devices now.

I've got it as low as it'll go and it's still not working.

Did you try different media for your burner? Clean the lens? Are you doing something while you burn at the same time? (note: this isn't a big issue for people that have burners with buffer overrun protection.

As for your wireless card, is it around any major electronics (ie: big stereo, TV, etc)? Is there anything metallic blocking line-of-sight between you and the router?

Is this a laptop?
"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."- General Sir Charles Napier
