Computer Problems

Post by Ace Pace »

I'm having serious problems playing HL2 and CS, I suspect it comes from the sound.
I've tried lowering quality, or turning the volum down to nil, even changing it to my USB headset with its own sound stuff, no joy.

I have an AC97' intergrated PoS, are there drivers for that thing?

Installed it, helped a bit, apprently the problem was the GPU having troubles with DX9.

Running on DX8.1 worked, god what a fright that was actully working.

Can be locked unless someone figures out why a 9700Pro crashs in a small effect like that.

EDIT: not a small effect, a big fucking problem with it.

AC97 refers to a standard; it does not refer to actual implementation :)
