PS2 problem

Post by Vympel »

Ok, we all know that the PS2 has two wires out the back, the power cable, and the yellow/white/red cable that plugs into your TV. I have no idea what the fuck it's called, but you know what I'm talking about. Anyway, I notice that my screen goes fricking dark/flickers a lot during play, and when I even lightly *tap* the wire, I get either an improvement or a worsening, depending on how I move the wire around- now then, is it the wire? Should I invest in a new wire, or is it the actual port and my PS2 is fucked?

I advise checking another wire in there, perhaps borrow a friend's one. If that goes awry you know it's time for a service.

I would say its definately the wire. It happened to me when I had the cable out the back (the AV cable, natch ;)) bent to go behind my TV. Just buy a new one; they're like $20 bucks. Get one from Lik-sang! :D
