Starfleet Command III

Post by acesand8s »

I just downloaded SFC3 from Underdogs. I installed the program but I kept getting error messages. So, I followed the instructions from this thread, installing the patch and changing the sfc.ini files. Now, however, I get an error message that says 'Unable to find texture by index'. Does anyone know what's causing my probelm? I've heard that Windows Service Pack 2 isn't compatible with some games, including SFC3. Is that causing my problem? If so, is there a way to get around it?

SP2's firewall can sometimes interfere with SFC3's online play, but NOT offline.

Okay, you installed the latest patch, and you did NOT install the DX9 fix, correct? Dunno why it's not working.

Maybe there are only some copies left.
It is still warez, IMHO.

Perhaps Activision is still selling it even though Taldren is out of business.

Either way, still warez.

SD.net does not allow the active discussion of Warez, especialy in regards on how to make it work. This is against board policy and could very well be illegal.

acesand8s, this is your final warning on the subject.
