Burner isn't working

Hey, my burner isn't working, could someone tell me if they've run into a problem? I use Nero and it says that there was a problem calibrating the power or something like that. This only happend within the last week. Help please.

try checking the cables in the case to make sure everything's connected, maybe? if you've done anything to the innards lately that might've affected it.

I haven't touched the inside in a while and it worked not more than a week ago.

It wouldn't hurt to check. Besides, the problem could simply be the cable has gone bad (and replacing that would be cheaper than a new burner).

I had a similar issue with my DVD burner recently. The cable turned out fine and all it cost me to fix the drive was about twenty minutes, a screwdriver, and a can of compressed air.
