That'd be kind of hard to do, since I think Final Fantasy XII is still in development.Hamel wrote:FF10thru12: Fuck if I know, I've never played them

"Right now we can tell you a report was filed by the family of a 12 year old boy yesterday afternoon alleging Mr. Michael Jackson of criminal activity. A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."
Inane plot?
FFV: I, Exdeath, am a tree. I will destroy the world. Because it will be fun.
FFVI: I, Kefka, am a sick twisted little man. At least my lack of motivation for destoying the world makes sense due to me being completely round the fucking bend.
FFVII: I, Sephiroth, will smack a great big rock into the planet, absorb all the Lifestream and become a God. So there.
FFIX: I, Garland, will kill everyone on Terra in order to replace them with the spirits of Gaia. I, Kuja, will go batshit insane and try and destroy everything because I have suddenly discovered my own mortality. I, Necron, will appear at the last minute as a boss fight. And I will quote Yoda at you.
FFX: I, the story writer, have stolen the plot of Grandia. But will make you play as a whiny tosser instead of a hyperactive teen.
The whole series is largely based around stopping an enemy from destroying the world for no good reason.

I found this argument laughable two years ago and I find it laughable now.FFX: I, the story writer, have stolen the plot of Grandia. But will make you play as a whiny tosser instead of a hyperactive teen.

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.
Think what you will, but the basic plot elements are the same. The Special Girl, be she Icarian or a Summoner, has to sacrifice herself to save the world from a Great Recurring Evil, but the Plucky Young Hero finds a way to save her because he fancies her pants off. This method involves blowing a hole in the outside of the Great Recurring Evil and beating a path to the core.
Add in a little frisson of ancient holy war that didn't quite happen the way the priests are telling it (Granas/Valmar or Zanarkand/Bevelle) for good measure...
