On my desk I have a DVD-R (not +) that may or may not contain a leaked copy of the first episode of the new Doctor Who series .
My computer's ROM drive is supposed to manage DVD-R, DVD+R and assorted rewritables. I loaded it up several times and got a "no disc in drive D" error message. WTF is going on here?
All is not lost though. I brought it to my supposed "workplace" on Monday morning and proceeded to waste 45 minutes of company time watching it on one of their machines . It was worth the wait but the question remains, why does it play on their computers and not mine?
Also, assuming I can fix this first little drama, is there a way to convert DivX files to Mpegs so I can watch it on my DVD player?
