PSU problem

Post by Ace Pace »

Okey, finnaly got the PSU for the new PC, its a Neopower 480W, and only one problem, its motherboard connecter, instead of 24 pins, has 23 pins, with the missing pin being roughly in the center.

Will the motherboard work? My motherboard, ASUS 8N-SLI an work with 20 pins, just abit less stable during OC, but I wonder if missing a pin in the middle changes matters.

Replacing is NOT an option :(

What do you mean it's not an option? It doesn't have any sort of warranty on it?

My motherboard's manual says that the missing pin (right next to your thumb, right?) is PS_ON, which suggests to me that it's the pin that tells the power supply to turn on.

Okey, thanks for the help, I also thank White Haven for also helping me.

The not an option means the only place where I can get a replacement is Holand, and shipping it there would cost roughly the ammount of a new PSU.

But its in, working on getting the cables properly inputted, then closing the case, then I upload piccies for you ;)
