Die Ubisoft Die!

Post by Mr Bean »

Ahh Silent Hunter III, what a great game, can't wait to final try it....
Since I'm current abroad I can't wait the two weeks to three months for a CD box to get shiped out here, so for once I decided to download a game from Gamespy's Direct2Drive service

Since internet connect out here is terrible I knew it was going to take awhile to download the muli-gig game
And yes it took 74 solid hours to get it all(Which downloaded perfectly the first time lucky for me)

Get the game installed, see Ubisofts new method of getting patchs, hmm register and run some shitty unessary fileplant ripoff software to get any patchs? Well I needs those patchs so just this once

Ok patched up
Activate game and... What? Can't activate? Huh? Because I'm activating from a British Ocean Terriotory? What the bloody hell?

Three workarounds later and a few attemps at IP bouncing and still no activation no game,
And of course after checking the game site, downloads and whatnot there is no friggin mention of which games can be downloaded overseas and which can't infact, there is no mention of anything like that on the website

Bah!
