Regional: 30 capitals, 70 cruisers, 500 escorts
Major: 45 capitals, 100 cruisers, 750 escorts

Those are the 'points' you can split up. Example.
Your capital ship force could consist of only 3 monster SSDs that are with 5 cap points each, OR 15 heavy battlecruisers worth 1 point each.

Other stuff aside, you can vary some things, like one ship might be stated as 'geared towards long range combat' or 'optimized for planetary assault' or something, which is mostly for flavor, but might occasionally come up to your advantage... or not.

Read some of the other OOBs, they really help.

Please. I'm not even a Grand power, and the Commonwealth and her wholly owned colonies hit somewhere in the range of 500-odd worlds, if not more. The majority of those are colonial border worlds, it should be noted. Minor powers are in the realm of 20+ minor worlds or 3-5 very heavily industrialised worlds.

Ok I put my ships up could some one tell me if I did something wrong.

Also do you do stuff like building ships by you self and not tell anyone or do you need to post "4 new X type destroyers rolled out of the construction docks of Y"

One last thing dose money exsist(ie do we get x amount from each world) or do we just have to not forget about it last wrighting a story.

As far as I can tell (being a newbie myself), money exists in two forms: Enough and More than Enough.
Chances are, you've got Enough.

And the construction, I belive we've all posted our build orders, might want to wait for one of the vets to answer that one though.
According to wikipedia, "the Mohorovičić discontinuity is the boundary between the Earth's crust and the mantle."
According to Starbound, it's a problem solvable with enough combat drugs to turn you into the Incredible Hulk.

Might not want to take my OOB as an example. The Sixth don't do things in an entirely rational fashion. *hides 10-point Pegasus-class* :)

I have masses of real estate; the Magellenic Clouds are full of worlds. Not many are inhabitable, but that's why I have Culture orbitals for my populace.

But yea. My ships could easily be converted into cities with their own self-enclosed industry and agriculture.

I'd be fine with that, with the acknowledgement that should someone peirce the outide of these moons (easy enough to do with a couple destroyers and a little free time,) they'd come apart much more easily and rapidly.
