I've had a dual-layer-capable DVD burner for over six months now, and haven't even see dual-layer media in stores. I know it exists somewhere, but that place is nebulous and abstract to me.

Chmee, have you ever downloaded anything that was at all under copywrite for free? Any little thing at all?

I'm just curious as to whether these are your actual views or if you're just dragging out a huge devil's advocate.

On that note, I downloaded an episode of Naruto through BT, and found that I'd actually downloaded a .zip file. I unzipped it, and found a .exe that contained the episode. Like an idiot, I ran the .exe.

Long story short, I got the episode - it worked fine - but I also got some NASTY spyware. After a day of doing everything I can to scrub my computer clean, I THINK I've gotten rid of it...but I can't be sure.

Yes, I know I was stupid beyond compare, but I just figured my example might keep someone else from making the same mistake. Be CAREFUL what you open on your computer. If I'd been willing to wait a few hours, I could've just downloaded a .avi of it from a different torrent...my impatience cost me a full day of computer-cleaning.
