Fooling around in my tower, I took out a stick of 512mb DDR333 ram by popping the two holders on the top and bottom, mostly just to look at it and see if it was corroded or coated with dust, as I've been having ram problems of late. Seeing none, I put it back in correctly, but couldn't get the holders to snap into place over it. (the 'prong's the holders latch onto are sticking too far out.) I've tried pushing it in more, but I don't want to damage the ram.
Any ideas?

Push harder. It's fairly difficult to break a stick of RAM this way. Most of them actually take a bit of force to push in.

What did I tell you in the SDN Chat? Apply force to both sides evenly. If that doesn't work, use brute force, and if it still doesn't work, you're not using enoughCaptain tycho wrote:Ahh, there we go. It took ALOT of force, actually, I was afraid I was going to snap it in half. Thanks Beo.
