Newbie to KOTOR needs help

Post by Sarevok »

Ok I am in Taris with Mission Vaio trying to rescue the Wookie. I went into the sewers but they are infested with lots of enemies. Where do I find the Wookie ?

Taris is boring me. I had been playing this level for several days. Anyone interested in explaning the quick way to become a Jedi ? No spoilers other then information required to become a Jedi please.

You can't become a Jedi until you leave Taris, and if you can't find Big Z down in them sewers then frankly you should risk the spoilers and look up a walkthorugh on GameFaqs or something.

It's pretty linear. Kill everything hostile, open every door you can and explore. You'll find him eventually.

You have to get off Taris before you can become a Jedi. Other than that, not much.

Big Z: He's in the sewers.

Jedi: Leave Taris.

When you start running into Gamoreans, your close to Big Z, since they're the ones who caught him.
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

To clarify, you don't want to be above level 8 before you become a jedi, sometimes less.

IIRC it's generally optimal to stop at level 4 or 5, which is enough to beat Taris (including side quests) and leaves lots of room for Jediness.

I found out it's better to be a higher level non-Jedi (before Dantooine) if you use the Scoundrel/Jedi Councilor combo (as you're still powerfull enough to put a Jedi Sentinel aka Bastilla Shan under Stasis field (if you have chosen your stat correctly) on the Light Side or go [voice=palpatine]UNLIMITED POWER[/voice] on Dark Side and another don't be gray as for totally dark or totally light gives you a special bonus (known as Light(or Dark) side mastery).
I may be an idiot, but I'm a tolerated idiot

My normal character is an 8 Scout/12 Guardian. This is a highly effective fighter, who gets the Implant feats for free, as well as Uncanny Dodge 1 and 2. I was originally concerned that I wouldn't have enough Jedi levels, but even without Force Heal, he walked through every fight and could still persuade almost anyone.
