Xbox360 Release date confirmed

Behold!
IQ wrote:MICROSOFT HAS confirmed the official release date of the Xbox 360, which is due to be released in America two days before the traditional Thanksgiving consumer rush on November 22nd.

The console will be rolled out from there to the UK on Friday, December 2nd and in Japan Saturday December 10th.

The 360 launch will come almost four years to the day the original Xbox was launched, November 15th, and Microsoft say that they have factories churning out millions of units of the console.

Exact allotments have yet to be confirmed and worries of shortages for certain territories remain.

Pre-order, we suppose. µ
So the 22nd stateside, UK and Japan in Decemeber. Prehaps they acutal will make several millions. Banking on the fact that people will want the console in droves. Or they could pull a PSII and build just enough to fill the preorders creating manic demand.

A console being released in the UK before Japan? Something I never thought I'd see the days of. Is there any news on how many they're going to be having available at launch yet, or am I going to have to put down a deposit for a pre-order?

Did they also release a list of launch titles, or is that still unknown?

To be released at the Toyko Game show. This is a pre-show release bit.
Also rumored to be released is a ready to go list of Xbox backwards compatable list titles.

Considering the market share (or rather, lack thereof) that the X-Box has in Japan, there's no reason it should be number one on the priority list.

Unlikely, we haven't heard about any supply problems thusfar and Microsoft was pretty good at the Xbox launch about production. It wasn't exactly availible on day one to people who didn't preorder, but it didn't suffer from six month waits for those who didn't plop down the cash for the first run either.
