WoW Crashing after 1.8.1

Is anyone here experiencing issues with WoW crashing after the 1.8.1 patch?

There's a thread here in the tech support forums but Blizzard seem to be intent on telling us that we all have mismatched RAM timings or faulty RAM, or outdated drivers and that optimizations in their patches have brought out the flaws in our systems that were already on the verge of collapse.
