I mostly play Xiayou. But that's probably just because I like to take whatever character that looks most harmless in a fighting game and try to become pretty lethal with it. Little Ling Xiayou can certainly be annoying in the right hands... And she's the only character that can duck Jinpachi's fireball. Well, if she uses her Art of Phoenix stance. It's the Eddie + Hwoarang combination that makes it really magic, though: you can both juggle people with kicks indefinately by alternating buttons, or dance around like a fairy in an unblockable fashion!

Paul + Jin would tend to stop that. Paul's hammer punch to power punch combo (d+LP, f+RP) will take precendence over most of Eddy's moves, and they both have counter throws to disrupt Hwoarang's kickstrings.

not quite: Kuma/Panda can get under it as well, as can Lei. Marduk and Nina also have moves that will put them on the floor as a side effect and as such will get them under it. Don't play much Eddy myself, but I'm pretty sure he can get under it too. And anyway, most characters have got low sweeps that will get under it if you time them right.

The few times I've played Tekken, I used Lei Wulong. I find him to be quite n00b friendly.
