Completely unrealistic, a fan boy magnate page with no comments on the discussion page. Totally ruined the joke. :D

Ok it was funny. On a side not they had to protect the real page because of the comic.

It was good, and when combined with the commentary, makes you honestly fucking wonder about the validity of efforts on Wiki.

That page is going to be totally vandalised.

Edit: It's got special protection. Well it was being vandalised because of the comic anyway...

I think that the best part of the commentary is describing Wikipedia as a"quantum encylopedia where you can't tell if its true or not at any given time". That was truly awesome and is so incredibly true while being such a major burn against Wikipedia. Afterall, the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle should apply to microscale information, not macroscale information.

That's exactly what happened when Fox Trot ran a strip on Wikipedia. Fans did exactly what Jason did on the comic to the real page in question.

Personally, I love Wikipedia to death, both despite and because of said things.

I was going to print that out and give it to my students as an object lesson in being careful about sources. Then I realized the oldest of them were born in 1988 and wouldn't get the joke.

Well, they do have that newer series that came out a couple years back. 85% less cheesyness.

I like the edit on the Wiki article which was just "COCKS COCKS COCKS" along the top.

I think one of the unintended consquences of Wiki is that its taught why information should not be democratic.
