I made it to level 9, then simply ran out of time. Too many blood cells needed for infection, not enough to actually infect.

Crazy and strenuous considering you would have to drag each one into a cell.
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

Fun. Not that hard though if you get those bonuses and get the right upgrades. Eventually I had so many viruses out there that all I had to do was move it fast enough, the white blood cells couldn't destroy them fast enough.

Level 11. You should always camp the powerups by waiting till 3 seconds are left on the clock with 1 cell left to infect and watching like a hawk for free bonuses (especially mutagens in the lower levels- 500 point bonanza) because they get prohibitively expensive. I ended up with like 0.9 seconds Latency, 4 Damage, 26% Immunity, and 4 Reproduction by doing that.

At high levels, Immunity is the most important stat if you have 4 Reproduction or better, because by Level 10 everything is swathed in huge antibiotic clouds. Damage is good to keep roving WBCs from taking bites out of you, but Immunity is extremely useful once you have enough to get 1 virus through a cloud per spawning.

level 11, ran out of time. I have a newfound respect for my immune system, and the wonderful work it does.
