If you ordered a 4800 and got a 4600 surely you can take it back and get the correct replacement?Mr Bean wrote:Cruses! My upgrade attempts have been thwrated by a clumsy stockboy, instead of the 4800+ promised I received a 4600+! An older core means overclocking is less likley and this 4600 hates it it does. Not to mention I'm missing a MB of cachal!
In other news I pulled down 4826 with the new proccesor.
The upgrade is now complete!(Or is it?)

Of course it's newegg after all! However disliking RMA's and after "borrowing" a 4800 from a friends LAN case then testing it on my system, the diffrence(And the $120 price gap) in preformence is minute. Considering that and the fact this thing runs hotter than my system was designed for I'll keep the 4600 and use the money saved on the refund. (Which takes 12 hours as opposed to 12 days) to get a higher capacity pump system for my watercooling setup.Crazy_Vasey wrote:If you ordered a 4800 and got a 4600 surely you can take it back and get the correct replacement?Mr Bean wrote:Cruses!
