Ok, because I am feeling cheap, I have started looking for free downloadable mortgage calculators.
Unfortunately the ones I have seen so far, calculate using the traditional principle and interest loan. One of them doesn't even seem to be able to adjust it for fortnightly payments as opposed to the traditional monthly payments.
What I am looking for is software which can calculate using a home equity type loan, or a principle and interest loan with savings offsets. Ideally it should not only be able to calculate how much paid each month, but how much faster the loan would be paid off if I paid more. And in case you are wondering, the mortgage calculator I am looking for (ie recommended) costs $190 AUD, which I would hope not to spend that.
