Kingdom Hearts 2...so soon dammit!

Post by NeoGoomba »

Well goddamn if I can't wait for this sucker. I actually picked up Electronic Gaming Monthly because they had a big article on it (and for Silent Hill the movie, but thats something else), and everything I read just made me want the end of March to get here faster, my birthday be dammed!

So who else is like me and already pre-paid for the sucker while currently replaying the first?

Yay! Vivi and Setzer are in it! If only Shadow and Kain would show up now too
"A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals and you know it. Fifteen hundred years ago everybody knew the Earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, everybody knew the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew that humans were alone on this planet. Imagine what you'll know...tomorrow."

I would love to be replaying the first right now, but unfourtnately, my girlfriend has borrowed it to try and beat it. She's stuck somewhere in Alantica and I don't know where. :(

Unforunately, I'm not going to be buying the second game till I've finished the first...working on it though.

I shall almost certainly get it, eventually, when it manages to cross the atlantic.

I did finally go back and batter the shit out of the first one (though I didn't get any of the Shiitake/Matsutake rank stuff I got all the weapons, got to level 100, and beat all the optional bosses.

I'm looking forward to the new combat system as well, the first one was pretty fun when it got going, and the addition of things like character combos sound cool.

I'm a bit more excited about Grandia III, but that's because I'm a shameless Game Arts fanwhore.

As someone playing the Japanese version at the moment...

SO cool. Oh, so cool. The coolness of this game might just overload your coolness filters...

There's some crazy stuff in this one, too. And I can't judge the American voice acting, but the Japanese voice for Donald is very strange (but aside from that, all the voicing is great).

Oh Oh, what's the battle system like? From the preview it looked a lot faster and varied compared with the first game.

This video gives you a good idea.

Very minor spoilers that show that a certain character is in the game as a boss, but its nothing you wouldn't already know if you read the list of voice actors.

It's a seven minute long video of Sora vs Sephiroth...
