Why did the game end after I defeated Warlock? My party was supposed to go to Wong but instead faded out to Game Over? What happened?

That, ah, is an error...not supposed to happen.

Graeme: The Zeon item shop bug is something we're aware of. We've identified the issue. Thanks for the other comments though.

Just got a few questions:

1) How do I open the Amazonian chamber?

2) Who can read the stuff in the desert tower?

3) Where can I get a world map?

I love having the air ship, but it doesn't really do me that good when I can't find anything.

Answers...

1. Make sure Misty is in your party and she'll knock the door down.
2. The game should have prompted you to go get Slacker.
3. The world map is available in the Temple of Minerva (see 1).

Um... my game just told me "You can't read this" when I looked at the Desert Tower.

So, if I'd shown up without Kynes, Boyd would have been there? If I add Boyd to my party, Kynes wouldn't be where he's supposed to be either?

The Bad Ending is when you die and get the Game Over screen

The Good Ending means the one with all sidequests complete so that you get the nifty "Where Are They Now" stuff.

And the first game is available on the FUQ at daltonator.net.

It should install to your game directory if you used the defaults, or else make sure you change your game directory to the correct one.

I ran into some kind of glitch/bug:

Okay, I landed on the island where the fiver fleet is docked. The fleet was destroyed, and I defeated the ringleader. Then Tigerclaws appears, does his evil speech, and tortures Newbie and Schala. A little over halfway through the speech between Steve and Tigerclaws, the screen begins advancing like the enter key is stuck and it flashes through the dialog too fast to read until ending with a game over. Did I miss something or is it a quirk in the program?

I thought of that, but it only happens at that exact point every time. At no other point in this or any other program does it act like that.

Quickly scanning through the thread, I don't think this has been asked.

Is this based on some actual incident, however remotely? Was there ever a time where Fivers just randomly went nuts and started flaming people? Or is it just random? If so, is there any special signifigance to Fivers, as opposed to, say, Browncoats?

No specific event, I don't think. IIRC Spacebattles has quite a few rabid Fivers, a few of whom are supporters of B5tech and Tigerclaws, some of whom tend to poo-poo Brian Young's conclusions.

Naaaaaaah..... at least not until Phong completes the 4th sidequest and we release the director's cut of the game.

Just started playing it and it's pretty cool, but I seem to be stuck.

After I bring Wong the ICS and he let's me raid his vault, where am I supposed to go?

Erm, who's throne room? Wong's? He just keeps repeating that I may use the treasures in his vaults. I tried going to ASVS and SB to find the armies I'm supposed to join up with, but they don't seem to be there. Some of the SBers keep saying all the warriors are at Death Valley, but I have no idea where that is. Same goes for "the front" which everyone at ASVS is talking about.

EDIT: Well it would appear I'm an idiot as it was right in front of me the whole time. Thanks anyway.
