iTunes and html generated playlists

Post by General Zod »

Somewhat noobish question. But I've lately started using iTunes, and as much as I hate to admit it, I'm actually preferring it over Winamp. Unfortunately there's a handful of features I can't seem to figure out that Winamp has. Notably the ability to generate a clean, easy to read playlist of the songs it has at that moment, that Winamp can do. Is there such a function in iTunes that I'm missing? Or does it simply not exist?

On the mac version you can make it generate an .xml playlist by hitting File -> Export Library or a .txt file with File -> Export Song List

I suppose you can do an XML transform on the file that iTunes spits out to turn it into HTML. *shrug*

Keep in mind I'm using the Windows version here. So, that doesn't really help all that much. And iirc, when I tried it with that method it wound up giving me a text file of the entire playlist, but it was relatively jumbled and somewhat hard to make out.
