I'm looking around at replacing my iPod bud earphones and am ready to shell out a bit of cash. Right now I'm looking at this because of a strong LA Times review I read and the rave reviews on the page. According to a Sennheiser review however, this is the same, just rebranded and cheaper (major bonus points!).
Any other suggestions, or warnings from forum audiophiles?
Some guidelines:
*looking for basic Y shaped cord, not the bizarro one-ear-short-one-ear-long cord
*decent for athletic workout. The iPod headphones rattled around a bit in my ears while running and I didn't mind that, so my standards are a bit low.

What I remember from head-fi says that they are not the same, that the CX-300 sound better, but I cannot personally confirm this. Do look on Headcase or Head-fi to confirm this though.
Of course, I have tried the E-500's, and certainly they fit great and sound great.
