The problem appears to be that in *very* rare cases, the browser doesn't recognise the user is typing in a text form and continues to trigger the search box whenever ' is typed. I don't know what causes this, but it's definately a bug, not a feature.For future reference, before calling something an 'excessively stupid bug', hit help -> help contents, and take a look, especially at the keyboard shortcuts section. You might learn something new.
