Dark Crusade Safe mode

Hey all,

I got Dark Crusade yesterday and as I was loading it up it sudenly said something about video card and said must run in safe mode. Now The graphics look like something from the Super Nintendo. I played the game anyway hoping it would revert to normal or that I could adjust the graphics options but I couldn't. Does anyone know how to solve this or do I have to reinstall?

It means your video card isn't good enough to run the game properly. The original Dawn of War did that to me on my old comp, and the graphics looked like this:

I have to play it in Safe mode as well, however once you get into the game you can adjust some of the graphics options upward.

I really need to get around to upgrading though, I want to see this thing with all the bells and whistles cranked up.

I have to run DoW and WA in 'safe mode' the first game after installing (don't have DC yet) even though I crank it to almost full settings once I'm in-game without any problems. Have you tried accessing the Options menu on the opening screen and going back to the appropriate resolution, color depth, etc..?

Whatever. At least my Guardsmen use urban camouflage patterns in urban environments.
