How do I decease the size of the icons next to the title in my tabs?

Also, how do I disable image resizing?

Not to sure about the first one, but to disable resizing images, its Tools -> Options -> Advanced tab then untick resize large images to fit browser window.

For reasons I've been unable to comprehend, the easy way you described was removed from Firefox 2.0.

You can still do it though:

1. Type about:config in the address bar and press Enter.

2. Firefox will send you to the configuration window. Search for the preference name browser.enable_automatic_image_resizing change its value to false.

Images will still resize when you click on them. There's a process for disabling that too, but I haven't done it.

Damm I just realised I haven't got Firefox 2.0. Shouldn't it automaticlly tell me I'm not running the newest version and prompt me to update it?

Nope it won't
Addendum: it won't if you tell it you don't want to know of an update. For me, the browser always checks for new versions of itself and its add-ons.

While we're asking questions, anyone know of a way to replace the Back is Close (on tabs with no history) extension? I found it really useful, but the author hasn't upgraded it.
My wife went to Vorbarr Sultana and all I got was this bloody shopping bag.

Another FF2 question, google cache shows up in searches on IE, but not in FF, why's that?
