I find the idea of "renting" guns a bit questionable. Not that the selection is all that impressive anyway...

I'm also a bit confused... are you supposed to earn money by playing... or do you actually have to pay real money just to get stuff ? If its the latter then thats just insane.

Dang it, Jazz Intern, when I saw your thread title I thought (hoped) you meant "Free as in Free Speech" rather than "Free as in Free Beer." If I wanted a free beer FPS, I would just go to 3drealms.com and download Wolfenstein 3D.

Trying to fly a helicopter or a plane with a mouse is damn hard.

The Quake 3 engine was released under the GPL.
