You can download the stuff in that website? How? I need to know!
File->Save Page As. Rinse and repeat...at least, that should work for the text files.
And for the pages you can't normally do that with (the pop-up windows), just read the page name and manually enter it. You can pull those pages as standard HTML files.
Or you could just right-click and get the same option that you get from the File menu.

And it would just be scandalous if a board member happened to have already done all that grunt work and was willing to share the files with anyone who happened to send him a PM to save them the trouble. :angelic:

Heh. I appear to have done all that, too. The only problem is all the duplication of files (such as background images, css files, common logos, etc).

Pfft, I prefer flak rockets. All you need to do is fire a few in the general direction of an enemy. Voila, the enemy is now a crater.
Best care anywhere.

That's not a problem at all. When you right-click on a page and save the page as a , it also downloads a folder with all the files, images, and so forth on it. For example, Air Action Weekly #40 (saved as aaw40) would have an accompanying folder entitled aaw40_files that it would draw from whenever the HTML file is opened.

Indeed, it would. Now, would RAR or ZIP be more convenient for those who may require some assistance once the website is defunct and no longer available for free on the web?

Pssst. I was talking about me.

I use .rar myself, but .zip is usable by just about everyone. Either should work, really, since the software for .rar is free.

Yes, I know that. What I mean is, now I have about a hundred identical css files, in each <page>_files folder, rather than one file which all the pages point to. The same goes for menu button images, page borders, etc. It's not a huge issue, since I won't be reconstructing the website any time soon, but it's annoying.

Rye wrote:I also loved this game, I think the cd is scratched currently, though. Ages ago I made the meatiest plane ever. I took the gigantic, unmaneuverable bomber (Balmoral?) chassis, painted it black with a tiny bit of blue so it looked like a stealth bomber and took all but the outer missiles from it. It had its main guns that pointed straight forward, a turret on top and two turrets underneath if I remember right. It was also pretty well armoured. It was so heavy that if you didn't have max throttle all the time it fell out of the sky, and it cornered like a rock.

Not that cornering slowly was a big problem (except it meant you could fall out of the sky if you needed to do it quickly), you were totally protected from all avenues of attack by the turrets. Dogfights were hilarious. Ace whatever would turn up make a quick attack and then would get torn to ribbons as he flew by my turrets.

I had a multiplayer game with that badboy once, there was just no stopping it, aside from when I flew into the floor.
Christ. If you drop all but two of the hardpoints, you can fit dual .70s in both turrents and have a pair under player control as well as 50 armour all over and the souped up engine. It's like someone bolted wings onto a tank.
