They are from the Mother (known as Earthbound in America) video games on the NES, SNES, and GBA. Ness, who is in the Super Smash Bros. series is the protagonist in Earthbound, the only game in the Mother to be released in America. Starmen.net, a Mother/Earthbound fansite, has information on the characters of the games if you're interested.

As far as I know there's no way to dissociate Mother characters from their game mechanics, so there's no way to draw any real conclusions.

So I'll ask this before locking, care to give anything other then game mechanics? Last time we had this nonsense it was with Mario and such not, and really not looking for a repeat.

*laugh* Amusing... Though, I'm with the rest in doubting the vaiability of it beyond fan-battle...

Unless someone wants to try and create a universal system to put all RPG systems onto one scale of power rating. (Enough nightmares and headaches to last a stellar life time, I'd venture... given they often don't even have all the same stats... let alone the fact the mother series isn't the most serious game ever made...)

Since nothing really, just moving the G&C, where you can engage in the thrills of determing who's stronger in which digital world.

The guy from Master Blaster just runs them all over.
"A person is smart. People are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals and you know it. Fifteen hundred years ago everybody knew the Earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, everybody knew the Earth was flat, and fifteen minutes ago, you knew that humans were alone on this planet. Imagine what you'll know...tomorrow."
