Need to fix this thing between 2:PM today and Tuesday

Post by Schuyler Colfax »

About a year ago my aunt gave me this Sony Model No. DVP-FX810 portable DVD player. Now personally I'm not a fan of DVDs if I want watch a movie I'll watch on HBO or Cinemax. Though I wouldn't mind getting my top five movies on DVD but anyway back to my point. I took gift and I kept my feelings about it to myself. So when I got home I kept it on my dresser. Slowly as time progressed I lost some parts that came with it like the manual, the remote, and some minor things. But, I managed to keep both the car and regular charger.

To be honest I never used this thing. My mom wanted to use it so usually I was able to turn it on and get it on the blue screen and that is it. I was suprisingly okay with that. So my aunt is coming down today around the time in my subject title and she is going some place with my mom on Tuesday and she is going to need my DVD player. (My aunt not my mom) I don't know how to use this thing anymore. When I use the on switch it slides all the way back to off. I put on the charger and the charge light doesn't light up.

So my question is am I an idiot when it comes to this thing. Do any of you have this model and know how to use it? Or maybe I should just accept the fact that it is broken and exchange. I'm kind hoping that it is the first one. I'm not really sure how to tell my aunt that it doesn't work anymore with her or my mom getting pissed. So if any of you can get back to me that would be really nice.

Thanks dude for the site but it showed me everything except for the operating instructions. So it doesn't look like my aunt is going to ask me for it until Tuesday since she is at my house and hasn't even mentioned it. So if any of you know any other sites that would really be nice. I searched the web and looked around for a guide for this thing and couldn't find anything.
