That fast? Shit, now I'll have to buy him a new one.

You might also give it a bit of time - make sure that nothing's loose, etc.

There was nothing loose. We've had issues with that PS in the beginning when my father bought the computer. The power would cut off if the cable is touched. At first we thought it was the power cable but it still did the same after four or five separate power cables. A slight touch of the cable or the chassis and the power would go out. I don't know how but for almost a year we've had almost no trouble until now. All I did was shut off the computer through XP and now it won't go back on.

Just so you know for next time, running a PC off a faulty PSU for any amount of time is a Very Bad Idea (tm). It can damage practically any components in the computer, you might not even notice for a while.

Well the tech guys (from the store that sold my dad the computer) that looked at the computer couldn't figure out the problem. Plus my father thinks I did something wrong to it even though the PSU was a ticking time bomb. When I try to explain the problem to him he gets the idea that I am blaming him when I am not. I have no time to get him a new PSU, so I am going to have it repaired in an hour from now.
