Okay, so it's not water, but non-conducting oil... but it looks pretty awesome. I want bubbles in my PC!

I believe the Eclipse tanks that size are one piece of plastic (or acrylic). There really are no "seals," like those you would see in a caulked glass tank.Turin wrote:Cool looking, but there's a part of me that can't help thinking what a mess that would be to clean up if one of the seals goes bad. 6 gallons of mineral oil all over my apartment? At least the hardwood floor would be really shiny!
That said, even a standard glass fishtank would be less prone to fail than something like my Koolance water cooling kit. In fact, just recently I had to super glue a spigot back onto my reservoir because the plastic nozzle broke. The cooling kit in the article is completely self-contained, eliminating the need for hose and clamps. It also would benefit from equalizing the cooling over the entire PC instead of just whatever chips you happened to have a water block for.
Well, the updated one isn't completely self contained. They added a radiator to the system. Reduced the temperatures by about 40 C.

Certainly a much cheaper alternative to Fluorinert, which I remember seeing a couple of "EXXTREEEME OVERCLOCKING" webpages using in conjunction with piping in liquid nitrogen.
