Mouse dying?

Post by Ace Pace »

My mouse, a Logitech MX510, is randomly freezing(light stays on) with increasing regularity. It's also started to disconnect(light turns off) but the hardware is still recognised.

Throw away and get a new one?

Are you using Vista? I think it has a few problems with USB controllers freezing especially after resuming from hibernation/standby.

If not I take it you've tried using different USB ports and seeing if the problem continues in which case then yeh it probably is time for a new one.

I have the same problem with my X360 Wireless Receiver. I have to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to connect to my gamepad after unlocking my PC.
