How tp play mdf files?

Post by Bug-Eyed Earl »

I've got a bit of a problem. I have a 3.75 G mdf file that I can't get started; using Alcohol %120 or Daemon tools I hit a brick wall at certain points after following the directions.

Does anyone have any advice?

What happens? mdf files on my computer run fine with daemon tools, but it doesn't show up in the file browser.

Assuming the 'instructions' you're talking about are 'mount image, select file', the .mdf is probably associated with an .mds file (much smaller) and needs both to work. Daemon Tools supports .mdf/.mds, but it probably looks for the .mds.

I keep getting "Unable to mount image. File not accessible."

With just the .mdf, DT shouldn't give you an error (you'd just have to force it to show it to you, since it only looks for .mds by default). It just won't work if you don't have both of the files.

If you're still having issues try here, this is perhaps more specific but I'm assuming you're running windows.
